1. Who we are
Mindful Trading AI operates the BIAS service. For personal data you submit to BIAS we act as the data controller. You can reach us through the in-app support channel.
2. Data we collect
- Account data — email, password (hashed), display name.
- Trade journal data — instruments, P/L, mood, confidence, notes, optional screenshots.
- Usage and telemetry — pages viewed, feature usage, device and browser type, IP address, basic diagnostics.
- Support messages — anything you send us via support.
- Billing data — collected and stored by Stripe (see "Sharing" below). We see only the subscription status, plan and billing period.
3. Why we use it (purposes & legal basis)
- Create and operate your account, deliver the Service — contract performance.
- Generate insights, scores and AI summaries from your journal — contract performance.
- Security, fraud prevention, abuse detection — legitimate interests.
- Product improvement and aggregate analytics — legitimate interests.
- Customer support — contract performance / legitimate interests.
- Legal and tax compliance — legal obligation.
- Marketing emails (only if you opt in) — consent.
4. Sharing
We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers we rely on to run BIAS: cloud hosting, database, file storage, error monitoring and analytics.
- Stripe, our payment processor, for subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing. Stripe has its own Privacy Notice.
- AI providers we use to generate insights from your trade journal. Content sent to these providers is limited to what is required to produce the insight.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.
5. Retention
We keep account and journal data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations and to defend against claims, after which data is deleted or anonymised. You can request deletion at any time.
6. Your rights
You may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We respond to requests within one month. Contact us via in-app support to exercise these rights.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside your country. Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions).
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls and segregated environments. No system is completely secure; please use a strong, unique password.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies required to authenticate you and to operate the Service. We may use a small amount of analytics data to improve BIAS; you can disable this from the Privacy tab in your profile.
